Dawn Echols
Dawn Echols is a licensed professional counselor who offers psychotherapy (often called counseling), coaching, and conflict resolution in Gainesville GA to couples and individual adults for more than 15 years, following a career in sales that spanned 25 years. Dawn holds degrees in Marketing, Music & Sound Recording, and Clinical Counseling/Psychology. She specializes in aggression, anxiety, and relational dynamics; she has worked in the fields of family violence as well as substance abuse prior to establishing her practice, Dawning Phoenix. Her interest in skin-to-skin was sparked by learning of its benefits to the brain and the lifelong impact it can have on reducing distress, increasing coping, and strengthening connection. As a professor of psychology as well as a psychotherapist, Dawn has observed the struggle of worsening anxiety, especially in college students, and the impact of various attachment styles on couples in their relationship.
Dawn's goal as a member of Skin-to-Skin Cuddle is to empower women and facilitate human healing by promoting the value and benefits of Skin-to-Skin Care (holding unclothed baby against a bare chest) for its lifelong advantages to both the mother/parent and her baby.
